Night Dives
Looking for a little more adventure? Join us for a night dive.
Our night dives begin at dusk near our staging area in front of the Dive Shop, where we conduct a very through briefing. Much of the marine life in the Caribbean, such as octopus, eels, lobster and others become more active at night than during the daylight hours.
At night you will see basket stars and coral polyps feeding on plankton. You will also see various reef fish at rest which are normally active during daylight hours. Every year a mass coral spawning occurs at night, normally 8 or 9 days following the last full moon during August. Take advantage of the chance to see this unique event.
We require all divers to have an underwater light and recommend you carry a backup flashlight and chemical light. Underwater lights are available to rent or purchase if you do not have one available.
Our night dives are scheduled on demand. A minimum of 3 divers is required to conduct the night dive. If you are traveling alone, let us know upon arrival if you wish to participate in a night dive. Normally, other divers are ready to go with you.
