Divemaster, Professional
The Akumal Dive Shop offers you a special opportunity to learn the business of diving. You most likely will learn more about scuba diving in this course than any other course offered during your diving career. The Professional Divemaster Course differs from the basic version by including an internship at our shop. Required academics and skills are included along with a much more detailed study of physics and diver physiology. In addition, the intern works with our staff of working Divemasters and Instructors to bring your state of expertise and professionalism to a new level. We prepare you for a career as a Divemaster or, should you choose, to move directly into IDC training for a career as an Instructor. During your internship, you will perform 25 - 30 dives. The entire length of the course is dependent on the speed with which you wish to move through it. Most of our Divemaster candidates in the internship program average two to three weeks. If you are seriously interested in becoming a divemaster thi is the course for you.

Prerequisites: Rescue Diver, 60 logged dives, 18 yr. of age, current CPR, Physical
Course Fee: $950.00
Certification: Divemaster Application (application for divemaster certification must be made directly to PADI, application fees not included)
