Scientific Diver - Archaeology
This course prepares a diver to work at deep sites and in an over head environment. All principals of technical diving are covered in detail, including cave diving, deep air and mixed gas diving. The student will be trained to plan and conduct deep water trimix dives for archaeological research. Principles of artifact recovery, site survey and legal aspects of underwater archaeology will be studied. This course focuses primarily on Maya underwater sites.
Duration: Four weeks
Water work: 36 dives
Prerequisites: Advanced Open Water
