This course is designed to develop the minimum skills and knowledge needed for cavern and overhead environment diving within the limits of light penetration; in addition outlines specific hazards associated with cavern diving.
The Cavern Diver course train you in the proper way of handling line and reel, emergency procedures inside and outside the cavern. you will also learn about:
- The use of lights and redundant breathing systems.
- Body positioning to avoid disorientation and the proper finning techniques to avoid stirring up the bottom sediment.
- Dive planning, depth, distance limitations and air management.
Prerequisites:
- Be 18 years old
- Advanced Open Water diver certification or equivalent
- 25 logged dives.
Duration: 3 days
Water work: 4 cavern dives, 120 minutes bottom time.
Course fee: $250 USD per day. Tax is not included.
