The PADI Discover Scuba Diving program at the Akumal Dive Shop introduces people to scuba diving in a highly supervised yet relaxed manner under the experience and professional guidance of its staff instructors.
The PADI Discover Scuba Diving program takes place in the beautiful and quiet Akumal Bay, a perfect natural place for your first scuba experience. After 30-40 minutes in the bay under the supervision of our instructors, you will learn and master the basic skills that will allow you to make a second dive on the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world, just 5 minutes away from the Akumal Dive Shop. In no time you will be enjoying of 40 minutes (average) underwater in the cler blue Caribbean waters surrounded by tropical fish, turtles, eagle rays, hard and soft corals! A dive instructor will escort you the whole time to ensure that your experience is safe and fun.
After trying scuba, many new divers may decide to repeat the experience and pursue getting certified by enrolling in a PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver course.
Prerequisites:
- Be at least 10 years old
- Be in reasonably good health
- Complete the Discover Scuba Diving Releases and Medical Questionnaire (PDF). A ¨Yes¨ response on the Medical Questionnaire does not mean you are unable to dive, please contact us to receive instructions on how to proceed.
Duration: 3 to 4 hours.
Water work: Training dive in Akumal Bay.
Price: $2000 MXN TOTAL
Promotion: Pay $3,000.00 MXN and we add a second dive. ($1100 MXN value). (second dive ONLY on the same day)
Certification: No
Class Includes: Mask, fins, snorkel, regulator, BCD, wetsuit, aluminum tank, weights & belt, showers, locker rental.
