Open Water Diver

The Open Water Course is the most popular course in the diving industry. This is the first level of certification in scuba diving. The main goal of an Open Water Diver certification is to be trained to scuba dive anywhere in the world!

The Open Water Course is divided into three parts: five academic classes, confined water practices, and four open water boat dives. The academic portion involves self-study, classroom discussion, quizzes and a final exam. Confined water includes watermanship assessment and an opportunity to practice skills in shallow water. The open water portion of the course includes four dives to beautiful coral reef sites by boat.
